VIEW: Action At OK Legislature

ACTION AT OK LEGISLATURE Week of 2020/01/20
This was the headline of a story in the Tulsa daily news(?)paper on November 11,
2019 (Veterans Day): "Lawmakers seek to condemn Congress". It was 'buried' on
Page A-11, but sufficient to catch my attention. The sub-heading read: State legislators
propose a resolution condemning the impeachment inquiry. Credit for the story was
given to Barbara Hoberock of the staff in Oklahoma City. The story states that my own
Senator, Nathan Dahm, R-BA and Rep. Kevin West, R-Moore had joined to author
"House Concurrent Resolution 1000".
The fourth paragraph states: "The Oklahoma Legislature hereby condemns the
members of the United States Congress for pursuing impeachment proceedings against
President Donald J. Trump, the duly elected President of the United States, instead of
performing the serious work required by the United States Constitution that the American
people elected them to fulfill and that each member swore an oath to uphold"
Further into the story, Rep. West is quoted in a press release as saying: "the
proceedings should 'shock and terrify' Americans'. In the same release Sen. Dahm is
quoted: 'We've seen numerous laws passed and introduced that violate due process, and
now this attack on the president is another example of how little regard is being shown for
the protections in our Bill of Rights'. He is quoted as continuing: 'If there are those
willing to violate these rights in going after a duly elected President , the future of what
may be used against our citizens is of great concern. We must take a stand for our rights.'".
Being an 'assumed' journalist, Ms. Hoberock goes on to include a quote from the
House Minority (Democrat) Leader Emily Virgin, D-Norman saying: "My initial reaction is
'we have a lot of important issues to focus on in Oklahoma, and spending time on a
resolution that has no legal effect and that Congress probably will pay no attention to is not
a good use of our time and resources, and further that the resolution is 'purely political' in
an effort to make headlines". One wonders if Ms. Virgin thinks the four year attempt at
impeachment completely without Constitutionally listed required reasons in the Congress on
the part of her fellow Democrats was a waste of time, while essential actions, such as
funding bills were ignored has not been such a waste.
That last paragraph is included to show what appears to be editorial bias on the part
of the paper, since as evidence the "Letters to Editor" section almost always contains an
editors comment against any letter written as favorable to Republicans or Conservatives but
rarely, if ever, follows a letter praising actions by Democrats, no matter how false or
erroneous they may be. It is doubted that editorial policy will change with the sale of said
paper, and others, that was recently announced by the owners.
Frankly, it would have been more like Republicans to use a slightly less strong
accusation than 'condemn' such as 'admonish' and limit it to the House of Representatives,
since until very recently the Senate has not had anything to do with the fiasco going on
across the Capitol building. Also, the Constitution provides each House of Congress a
process for removing members for improper conduct, by a vote of its members. It seems
to me that such an action is very much in order, especially given the extent of outright lying,
false evidence, and changing of rules on the fly being used in the impeach 'investigation'.
It is most unlikely that any of the culprits involved, including Speaker Pelosi, will have to
be concerned, unless the constituents of the most offending House members decide they
have seen enough and replace the offending members in November, in which case
'mission accomplished'.
It really would not surprise me to see another change in majority in the House after
the election in November. By the same token, the Republican National Committee should
wake up and declare those elected officials who deserted the Party Platform and 'RINOS'
and deny them access to candidacy as Republican as was done in 2009 by one State
Executive Committee.

You may have seen this before, but I thought you might know the history behind it.
I never knew ... DID YOU?
If any of you have ever been to a military funeral in which taps was played; this
brings
out a new meaning of it. Here is something Every American should know. Until I read this, I
didn't know, but I checked it out and it's true: We in the United States have all heard the
haunting song, 'Taps...' It's the song that gives us the lump in our throats and usually tears
in our eyes. But, do you know the story behind the song? If not, I think you will be interested
to find out about its humble beginnings. Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the Civil War,
when Union Army Captain Robert Elli was with his men near Harrison's Landing in Virginia. The
Confederate Army was on the other side of the narrow strip of land. During the night, Captain
Elli heard the moans of a soldier who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was
a Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life and bring the stricken man
back for medical attention. Crawling on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached
the stricken soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment.. When the Captain finally
reached his own lines, he discovered it was actually a Confederate soldier, but the soldier was
dead. The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the
dim light, he saw the face of the soldier. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music
in the South when the war broke out.. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the
Confederate Army. The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his
superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite his enemy status. His request was
only partially granted. The Captain had asked if he could have a group of Army band members
play a funeral dirge for his son at the funeral. The request was turned down since the soldier
was a Confederate. But, out of respect for the father, they did say they could give him only
one musician. The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to play a series of musical notes
he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth's uniform. This wish was
granted. The haunting melody, we now know as 'Taps' used at military funerals was born. The
words are:

Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes
From the hills.
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh.

Fading light.
Dims the sight.
And a star.
Gems the sky.
Gleaming bright.
From afar.
Drawing nigh.
Falls the night.

Thanks and praise.
For our days.
Neath the sun
Neath the stars.
Neath the sky
As we go.
This we know.
God is nigh
I too have felt the chills while listening to 'Taps' but I have never seen all the
words to the song until now. I didn't even know there was more than one verse . I also never
knew the story behind the song and I didn't know if you had either so I thought I'd pass it
along. I now have an even deeper respect for the song than I did before. Remember Those Lost
and Harmed While Serving Their Country. Also Remember Those Who Have Served And Returned; and
for those presently serving in the Armed Forces. Please send this on for our soldiers ...
please don't break it. I didn't! |

VIEW: 20-02: Finally An Action President

VIEW FROM HERE
By Bob McDowell (Born Neil Carson) Number 20-02
FINALLY AN ACTION PRESIDENT Week of 2020/01/13
To me it was a welcome news report, delivered in person by PRESDT-45,
R-NY(Now FL) himself that he had, acting as Commander In Chief, which is an
actual title for the President of the USA, ordered a military strike to take out the
No. two man in the terrorist activities sponsored by the extremist oriented Muslim
government now running Iran. As an aside, it should be remembered that the
existing radical 'clergy' men running Iran were put there as a result of the action of
former President of the USA James Earl Carter, D-GA in obtaining the removal of
the then Shah of Iran which left a vacuum eagerly filled by the said Muslim Clergy,
of radical and murderist orientation.
It appears that the action was carefully planned and involved little or no risk
to our military individuals involved, other than the normal risks incurred in doing
anything with military gear. It was a good example of the technologically
advanced equipment now deployed to our military, when the 'rules of engagement'
permit them to properly use them, much unlike circumstances during the previous
administration. In those days said rules, in a book, were declared 'top secret' and
not permitted to be seen by the civilian population.
From all appearances, this operation was very carefully planned and carried
out so as to minimalize any possible accidental casualties to civilians. Our
intelligence determined that the target was, in his confidence and arrogance,
traveling between nations on an airline plane with a civilian load so the strike was
held back until he deplaned and entered a ground vehicle to complete his journey
to plan more terrorist activities. After that vehicle was clear of the airport and
away from non-target personnel, a single controlled rocket made a bulls-eye on
the target.
It is most welcome, especially to those of us with some military experience,
to find that our leader knows how to make decisions and carry them out, or allow
the 'experts, to do their sworn jobs. Follow-on releases have indicated that
PRESDT-45 had listened to his advisers and on-the-scene personnel and allowed
them to carry out this action. An action that, as claimed, raised the security of the
World substantially.
After all, those political leaders of rogue nations do understand evidence of
determination backed up with the power to carry out the plans desired. Cow-
towing to them or offering 'bribes' just tends to embolden them further with more
intrusive and/or deadly activities and demands. This has been substantially
demonstrated by the actions of recent Administrations, as in the 'secret' delivery
by plane of more than one BILLION dollars to the mullahs of Iran by night done
under the previous one.
It has been demonstrated multiple times in the nine decades of my life that
those of evil intent will jump into action at any sign of weakness shown by their
sworn enemy. And we should not think for even one second that there are not
rulers in some nations in the World that have sworn to be our enemies. That
has been often demonstrates by the extremist rulers in Iran with their
screaming of "Death to America", and inciting there 'obey or face death' ruled
population to demonstrate or face the, rather unpleasant, consequences.
Further, it has been shown repeatedly that their 'word' has no meaning.
They, like those of similar intent during the last century, may execute
'agreements' but immediately turn around and violate the terms that they have
agreed to, even to the point of, as demonstrated by the Nazi leader Adolph
Hitler, launch a full scale attack on a smaller and less heavily armed neighbor
within forty-eight hours after completing the agreement, almost before the
duped leaders of Great Britain and France had arrived home to announce
"Peace in our times".
No, those of the despotic mentality and intent will jump into action at
any inkling of weakness and/or lack of determination on the part of their
opponents. Thankfully the POTUS (President of the USA) is willing and has
shown he is not going to be thus taken advantage of nor refrain from taking
out those who mean evil towards our nation or its population.

VIEW: 20-01: Needed, A Follow-up Report

VIEW FROM HERE
By Bob McDowell (Born Neil Carson) Number 20-01
NEEDED, A FOLLOW-UP REPORT Week of 2020/01/06

In going through the stack of clippings from various print media papers, a
clipping was discovered dating clear back to March 22, 2019 of the Tulsa World
that bore the headline: "Trump orders colleges to back free speech". The date
was at the time I was undergoing a series of four biopsies on my tongue to remove
what appeared to be individual Squamish cell cancers that persistently would crop
up after the previous one was removed. These must have been a preview of what
was to come beginning in mid-summer 2019 to slow down my activities for four or
five months through year end.
The sub-heading read:" President's executive order puts federal funding on
the line for schools". The credit was given to Collin Binkley of the Associated Press.
As usual in this type of story, it was conveniently located on page A-5, but at least at
the top of the page where it could, and did, catch my attention. The first paragraph
stated that (PRESDT-45; R-NY (Now FL)) had signed an executive order
"requiring U.S. Colleges to protect free speech or risk losing federal research funding".
It also was said that the order directed Federal agencies to "ensure that any college or
university receiving research grants agrees to promote free speech and the exchange
of ideas, and to follow federal rules guiding free expression". It then quoted
PRESDT-45: "Even as universities have received billions and billions of dollars from
taxpayers, many have become increasingly hostile to free speech and to the First
Amendment"
Further down the story states the amount of money involved in these grants totals
$35 Billion per year in research and educational grants. That is money that is collected
from we over taxed citizens that, in my opinion is wrongfully spread around for a
multitude of worthless 'studies' such as 'the sex habits of a snail species'. Further on,
the story seems to refute the benefits mentioned at the start by quoting a statement from
The American Council on Education, "which represents more than 1700 college
presidents" which called the order "a solution in search of a problem". Well, of course
these academics would be opposed to any perceived controls on their ,wayward in my
opinion, freedom to rule according to their own personal biases. Said biases for the
vast majority of colleges and universities seem to me to be slanted in favor of the more
'liberal' and radical side, as seen multiple times in TV reports showing violent activities
with destruction of property and attacks on individuals deemed of the opposite opinion
with no effort by officials to end the violence.
However, the most striking thing about this is that since the original story appeared,
on March 22, 2019, not one reference of the story the has been seen, or heard, by me
on radio, TV, or print lending support to my opinion that said major media is engaged full
time in managing the so-called 'news' put forth from their sources. It seems to me that
PRESDT-45; R,NY(NOW FL) is doing the nation's, and World's citizens continuous
favors by calling them out as "fake news" vendors. In the 1930s such conduct would
have been referred to as 'the propaganda ministry', the way things were being done in
Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union of Russia.
It is most fortunate that the wonders of the computer world brought about the
Internet and an alternative source of information for those sufficiently interested in making
use of it.
My thought is this is a proper action against the C/F/S movement on the part of
the education establishment that seems to have begun in the mid-1940s when masses of
students hit the colleges following military service and the professors of "education"
courses began taking over the "education establishment". The only hope to reverse this
is for 'common sense' oriented adults to move into the school boards and exercise their
rights to correct wayward movements on the part of administrators. Especially in matters
of their management.

the education establishment that seems to have begun in the mid-1940s when masses of
students hit the colleges following military service and the professors of "education"
courses began taking over the "education establishment". The only hope to reverse this
is for 'common sense' oriented adults to move into the school boards and exercise their
rights to correct wayward movements on the part of administrators. Especially in matters
of their management.
